Gambio: Select an API method

Mollie has two different APIs to process payments:

  • The Payments API creates a simple payment for the full order amount.

  • The Orders API creates an order that contains the customer's details and order lines for the purchased products. Mollie automatically creates a payment based on the order.

You can select which API method that you want to use for each payment method. Depending on the API method you select, different features are available.

The Payments API provides the following features:

  • You can enter an amount for (partial) refunds.

  • You can change the information that's included in payment descriptions.

The Orders API provides the following features:

  • You can issue (partial) refunds for order items.

  • You can send (partial) shipments.

  • You can change the order expiry period.

  • The Gambio orders overview displays order line information, such as customer details and purchased items.

Note

in3, Klarna payment methods, and vouchers always use the Orders API.

  1. Log in to Gambio.

  2. Go to Modules icon-puzzle-piece.png > Modules-Center.

  3. Select Mollie from the module list.

  4. Select Edit.

  5. Scroll down to the payment method and select Configure.

  6. Select Edit.

  7. In the API method field, select a method.

  8. Select Update to save your settings.
