Shopify: Understand Klarna and Mollie

Shopify places certain restrictions on third-party payment service providers such as Mollie. This impacts the Klarna order settlement and order information available in your Mollie Dashboard.

Understand Klarna order settlement information in your Mollie Dashboard

After your customer orders and pays with Klarna, the order status immediately appears as Completed in your Mollie Dashboard. A shipment is created and you find this on your Orders page under Shipments. You receive your funds after the standard Klarna settlement delay and Klarna invoices your customer immediately.

Note

In Scandinavia, Mollie for Shopify only accepts Klarna payments in the currency of the Scandinavian country defined as your store's address. To accept payments in multiple currencies, you have to create several sub-stores, each with a different store-address country.

Understand Klarna order totals in your Mollie Dashboard

Shopify doesn't share full order details with payment service providers like Mollie. As a result, Mollie may add a fee or deduct a discount to the Klarna order overview in your Mollie Dashboard. This is to make sure that the total order amount is correct. You do not need to take further action.
