WooCommerce: Add a payment surcharge

Important

Not all countries allow you to charge customers a payment fee. Always check your local legislation before applying a surcharge.

By default, a payment fee is not charged.

Charge a fixed fee

  1. Log in to WooCommerce.

  2. Go to WooCommerce > Settings.

  3. Select the Mollie Settings tab.

  4. Select Edit next to the payment method name.

  5. Scroll down to the Payment Surcharge drop-down list, and select Fixed Fee.

  6. In the field that appears, enter a fixed amount.

  7. Select Save changes.

Charge a percentage fee

  1. Log in to WooCommerce.

  2. Go to WooCommerce > Settings.

  3. Select the Mollie Settings tab.

  4. Select Edit next to the payment method name.

  5. Scroll down to the Payment Surcharge drop-down list, and select Fixed fee and percentage to charge a combined fee that consists of both a flat rate and a percentage of the payment amount.

  6. In the fields that appear, enter both a fixed amount and a percentage.

  7. Select Save changes.

Charge a combined fee

  1. Log in to WooCommerce.

  2. Go to WooCommerce > Settings.

  3. Select the Mollie Settings tab.

  4. Select Edit next to the payment method name.

  5. Scroll down to the Payment Surcharge drop-down list, and select Percentage to charge a percentage of payment amount.

  6. In the field that appears, enter a percentage.

  7. Select Save changes.
