Salesforce Commerce Cloud: Select an API method

Mollie has two different APIs to process payments:

• The Payments API creates a simple payment for the full order amount.

• The Orders API creates an order that contains the customer's details and order lines for the purchased products. Mollie automatically creates a payment based on the order.

You can select a default API method that will apply to all payment methods and you can select one for each individual payment method. Depending on the API method you select, different features are available.

Individual API methods override the default API method.

The Payments API provides the following features:

• You can enter an amount for (partial) refunds.

• You can change the information that's included in payment descriptions.

The Orders API provides the following features:

• You can issue (partial) refunds for order items.

• You can send (partial) shipments.

• You can change the order expiry period.

• The Salesforce Commerce Cloud orders overview displays order line information, such as customer details and purchased items.

Note

Klarna payment methods, and vouchers only use the Orders API.

Select the default API method

The default API will apply to all payment methods unless set separately.

1. Log in to Salesforce Commerce Cloud Business Manager.

2. Open Select a site, and select a site from the list.

3. Go to Merchant Tools > Mollie > Mollie General Settings.

4. Select an API method in the Default method drop-down.

5. Select Save.

Select individual API methods

1. Log in to Salesforce Commerce Cloud Business Manager.

2. Open Select a site, and select a site from the list.

3. Go to Merchant Tools > Ordering > Payment methods.

4. Select the payment method's ID.

5. Scroll down to the Mollie section and select an API method in the Method drop-down.

6. Select Save.
