PrestaShop: Add a payment surcharge

You can charge your customers a fixed fee, a percentage fee, or a combination of both for certain payment methods.

Important

Not all countries allow you to charge customers a payment fee. Always check your local legislation before applying a surcharge.

Charge a fixed fee

1. Log in to PrestaShop.

2. Select Mollie > Settings in the left navigation panel.

3. Scroll down to Payment methods.

4. Select a payment method to expand it.

5. In the Payment surcharge drop-down list, select Fixed fee.

6. In the Payment surcharge fixed amount field, enter the amount.

7. Optional: In the Payment surcharge limit, set the maximum amount for the payment fee.

8. Select Save.

Charge a percentage fee

1. Log in to PrestaShop.

2. Select Mollie > Settings in the left navigation panel.

3. Scroll down to Payment methods.

4. Select a payment method to expand it.

5. In the Payment surcharge drop-down list, select Percentage.

6. In the Payment surcharge percentage field, enter the percentage.

7. Optional: In the Payment surcharge limit, set the maximum amount for the payment fee.

8. Select Save.

Charge a combined fee

1. Log in to PrestaShop.

2. Select Mollie > Settings in the left navigation panel.

3. Scroll down to Payment methods.

4. Select a payment method to expand it.

5. In the Payment surcharge drop-down list, select Fixed fee and percentage.

6. In the Payment surcharge fixed amount field, enter the amount.

7. In the Payment surcharge percentage field, enter the percentage.

8. Optional: In the Payment surcharge limit, set the maximum amount for the payment fee.

9. Select Save.
